<li class="ingredient">200g fusilli pasta.</li>
<li class="ingredient">1 large onion.</li>
<li class="ingredient">2 cloves of garlic.</li>
<li class="ingredient">1 can of chopped tomatoes.</li>
<li class="ingredient">Splash of balsamic vinegar.</li>
<li class="ingredient">Pinch of sugar.</li>
<li class="ingredient">Pinch of chilli powder.</li>
<li class="ingredient">Small handful of fresh basil.<br />
(serves 2)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Method</strong></p>
<ol>
<li class="method">Finely chop the onion and garlic.</li>
<li class="method">Add a little olive oil in a pan and add the garlic.</li>
<li class="method">When the garlic begins to sizzle add the onion and saute until soft.</li>
<li class="method">Add the tomatoes, balasmic vinegar, sugar and chilli powder to the pan and stir well.</li>
<li class="method">Season with salt and pepper.</li>
<li class="method">Simmer gently until the pasta is ready.</li>
<li class="method">Meanwhile, add the pasta to a large pan of well salted water and simmer for 10-15 minutes until al dente.</li>
<li class="method">When the pasta is almost ready, tair a small handfull of fresh basil into the sauce.</li>
<li class="method">Drain the cooked pasta.</li>
<li class="method">Serve the sauce on top of the piping hot pasta and grate a generous amount of paramesan on top.</li>
<li class="method">Season with salt and pepper, and enjoy.</li>
